Use the Scribeless Attio app when you want to add one person to a Scribeless campaign directly from Attio. This is useful for sales follow-up, customer success outreach, event follow-up, and other moments where a personal handwritten mailer should be sent from an individual record.
Before you send a mailer, create the campaign in Scribeless first. The Attio app adds a recipient to an existing campaign; it does not create or launch campaigns.
Open the person record
In Attio, open the person you want to send to. Use a record that has the postal details required by your campaign, or be ready to fill them in before sending.
Open Quick actions and search for send. Choose Send Scribeless mailer.
Review the mailer
The send form opens inside Attio. Select the Scribeless campaign you want to add the person to.
Attio prefills recipient details from the workspace field mapping. Review the name, company, postal address, and country code before sending.
The form only shows the campaign variables used by the selected Scribeless campaign. If your campaign uses variables such as Custom 1 or Custom 2, fill or review those values before sending.
Send the recipient to Scribeless
Select Send mailer. Scribeless creates the recipient in the selected campaign using the connected workspace API key.
After the recipient is created, Attio shows a success message with the Scribeless recipient ID. Check the campaign in Scribeless if you want to confirm the recipient details before the campaign is processed.
Optional workspace defaults
Admins can configure default field mapping in Settings > Workspace > Apps > Installed > Scribeless > Settings. Those settings apply to all users of the Scribeless app in the Attio workspace.
Workspace defaults can prefill:
First name and last name
Title, company, and department
Postal address fields
Campaign variables such as Custom 1
Extra analytics variables sent to Scribeless behind the scenes
Users can still review and edit the visible fields in the send form before creating the recipient.
Troubleshooting
If no campaigns appear, check that the connected Scribeless team has a usable campaign and that the Attio app is connected with the correct API key.
If the action is missing, reload the record and try Quick actions again. The action is available on People records after the Scribeless app is installed and connected.
If a required postal field is missing, update the Attio record or enter the missing value in the send form before selecting Send mailer.
If the recipient is rejected by Scribeless, check the error shown in Attio, then confirm the campaign ID, API key, and required mailing fields in Scribeless.
